CIS Students Tutor Senior Citizens
On Friday, January 20, 2017, Juniors in the Computer Information Services Program participated in a Technology Tutor Session at the Walpole Council of Aging. Students sat with Senior Citizens for one on one sessions on how to use Smartphones, Flip Phones, Tablets, Ipads, etc. Seniors came with their questions and our students answered! Topics covered were from very basic hands on quick start to navigating the Internet, getting set up with basics like email, how to use the web, take a photo and what to do with it, how to access the App Store or Google Play, etc. Kerri McManama, Director, was pleased with the turnout and has planned to hold another session in the near future.
