On Friday, January 13, 2017 the Tri-County Cosmetology program hosted 59 Medway Girl Scouts for their 2nd annual Spa Day. The Girl Scouts were treated to a new hair style and manicure by our high school Cosmetology students. The girls also attended mini workshops in Carpentry, where they made a box, and CIS helped them complete an Hour of Code Programing and they received certificates. Early Education students facilitated a playdough workshop and assisted them in making “Monster Toast,” a tasty and nutritious snack for young children.
The Grade 9 Program Information Night will be held this Wednesday - January 11 2017 at 6:30PM. Grade 9 Students and their parents are invited to learn more about each of the 16 Career Programs that we offer here at Tri-County. Vocational Teachers will be here to talk with parents and answer questions. Administration will present the Career Program selection process. The Tri-County Regional Children’s Center, located at 147 Pond Street in Franklin, will host its annual Open House and Registration events for the 2017-2018 school year in March.
The first Open House will be held on Thursday, March 2, from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. The second Open House will be held on March 3, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their children so that they can participate in many of the same activities they’ll enjoy as preschool students.
Bristol Community College will be offering Tri-County students a chance to earn three college credits. BCC will be offering an introduction to Spanish course, SPA-101. If interested, students and parents should carefully read about the course and requirements to gain access. Space is limited and placement will be determined by Tri-County administration if more students apply than there is space for. Please contact Scott O’Brien, Head of Guidance if you have questions. Registration paperwork is due to Mr. O’Brien no later than January 6, at 3 p.m.
Sixty seniors at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School qualified to receive the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship for their performance on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System test.
The students were recognized on Tuesday, December 13, during a celebratory luncheon in the school’s cafeteria.
Students in Tri-County's Advanced Placement courses attended their first test preparation session on Saturday, December 10, as part of the Mass Insight for Education program.

Gerry's Place, the student-run restaurant at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School, will host an annual International Holiday Buffet on Tuesday, December 20, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Menu offerings include Spanakopita, French Onion Soup, Seafood Espagnole, Stuffed Turkey, Sweet and Sour Pork, Israeli Chicken, Latke, Saffron Rice, Sweet Potato Casserole, and Green Beans with Cumin and Garlic. The dessert table will feature assorted sweet treats from around the globe, including Koeksisters from South Africa.
Tri-County junior Kaylee Dunn came in 10th place out of a field of nearly 200 runners at the MIAA Division 2 Girls' Cross Country All-State Championship on November 19.
Dunn advanced to All-States after finishing second in the MIAA Division 5 Meet Race on November 12.
Parents/guardians of students in grades 9 through 12 are reminded that Parent Night will be held on Thursday, December 1, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
From 6:30 to 6:55 p.m., parents will have the opportunity to sign up for 5-minute teacher conferences. All conferences will begin at 7 p.m. In the event that a teacher's available openings are filled before every interested parent receives a meeting time, then parents will have an opportunity to leave contact information stating that they would like a phone conference.
