Medical Careers Students Hold Flu Clinic for Faculty Members
Sophomores in the Medical Careers Program hosted a Flu Clinic on Monday, October 16th.
Rite Aid Pharmacist, Edward Purtell, administered the vaccine to over 50 members of the Tri-County staff. Students handled the administrative and medical assisting component of the clinic. They also educated staff members about the vaccine.
Medical Careers students regularly seek out opportunities to educate the Tri-County community about proper health and wellness decisions. In the spring, the students host a Summer Safety Fair, covering topics such as sun safety and the importance of mosquito repellent. Many students also conceptualize public health and safety initiatives to be used as part of SkillsUSA.
