Medway Girl Scouts Visit
On Friday, January 13, 2017 the Tri-County Cosmetology program hosted 59 Medway Girl Scouts for their 2nd annual Spa Day. The Girl Scouts were treated to a new hair style and manicure by our high school Cosmetology students. The girls also attended mini workshops in Carpentry, where they made a box, and CIS helped them complete an Hour of Code Programing and they received certificates. Early Education students facilitated a playdough workshop and assisted them in making “Monster Toast,” a tasty and nutritious snack for young children. The girls then enjoyed building and launching rockets in Engineering as well as using the Revit software program to design a home. Their last stop was in the Medical Careers Program. The Health Careers students guided the Girl Scouts through stations: Virtual Surgery, Bone and Organ stickers, Glow Germ Bugs, and Computer games for Nutrition and Vital Signs. The Girl Scouts certainly had a fun-filled day of Career Exploration!
