Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School

High Schools That Work

students in classroom

Tri-County participates in a total school improvement initiative through the Massachusetts Department of Education, sponsored by the Southern Regional Education Board, to implement the key practices of the High Schools That Work program. By combining challenging academic courses and modern vocational studies, the achievement level of career-bound students is raised. The program is based on the concept that students participating in vocational/technical programs of study can master complex academic and technical concepts if the proper learning environment is created. Tri-County has been recognized as a Pacesetter School by the High Schools That Work program for successfully implementing the key practices that improve student achievement. Tri-County has instituted several programs to improve student achievement and support the school’s mission:

  • PAWS-Positive Attitudes TowardWork Success
  • Senior Project
  • Community Service Learning
  • Summer Academy
  • Homework Center
  • Summer Reading
