Tri-County Cheerleaders earn first-ever bid to nationals

For the first time in the school's history, the Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School Varsity Cheerleading team will be competing at nationals.

The team's road to nationals included a 2015 Mayflower Athletic Conference Championship and a 2015 Division III South Regional Championship.

Their third place finish in Division III at the MSSAA 2015 Winter Cheerleading State Competition, held at Wachusett Regional High School on Sunday, March 8, landed the team an invitation to the national competition.

Before they head to nationals, the Tri-County Cheerleading team will compete in the 9th annual New England Interscholastic Spirit Championship on Saturday, March 21, at Lawrence High School. All six New England states are allowed to enter three teams in the Division III competition.

Tri-County team members include Natalie Berganza, Brenna Blye, Breana Goulette, and Madison Kaplan, from Attleboro,  Sydney Berry, from Bellingham, Delaney Forbes, and Emily Spillane, from Franklin, Stephanie Brousseau, Abby Fisher, Jaycie Jordan, Grace Lonzo, and Hayley Robinson, from North Attleboro, and Brianna Harper, from Walpole. Their coach is Lindsay Melanson and their assistant coaches are Erin Weeman and Lacey O'Neil.
