Zumba is a mix of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps like the merengue, salsa, cumbia, mambo, samba, and flamenco as well as other dances from around the world including hip hop and belly dance. The dances are set to toe tapping, hip swiveling, arm swinging, high energy Latin music that just makes you want to get up and move.
Each program meets once a week on Mondays, from 6 - 7p, for 6 weeks.

For health and well-being for your body and spirit, this is the class for you. Classes begin with warm-up movements and breath awareness to prepare you for yoga postures. The heart of each class is a sequence of postures that stretch, strengthen, and balance your body. Each class ends with deep relaxation and meditation. Instructor, Lisa Cohen, has been practicing yoga for more than 12 years and was recently awarded a 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Mass. Lisa has a special interest in working with diverse populations, guiding the yoga experience for people that might not think of themselves as "traditional yogic practitioners". Kripalu Yoga is a conscious practice of physical yoga postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques for integrating body, mind, and spirit. The 200-hour Kripalu Yoga teacher training, which conforms to the national standards of the Yoga Alliance, provides Lisa with a solid foundation in the technical skills needed to teach yoga safely and effectively.
Devarshi Steven Hartman, Dean of the Kripalu School of Yoga, says, “Graduates of the program are in great demand for their in-depth knowledge, clear instruction, intuitive insights into each student’s needs, and ability to guide students to the experience of knowing the Self, which is the true essence of yoga.” Kripalu, a nonprofit educational organization, is the largest yoga and holistic health retreat center in North America.

427 and 428 – Relaxation Foot Reflexology Workshops
Reflexology is a form of therapeutic bodywork practiced for centuries by the Egyptian, Chinese, and Indian cultures. Reflexology is founded on the principle that there are points on the feet that affect every organ, gland, and tissue of the body. Stimulating these points or reflexes properly can help to relieve many health problems. This 5-hour hands-on course provides an understanding of the principles of reflexology and foot reflexology application techniques that effectively can relieve stress, calm the stomach, eliminate constipation, and provide relief from sinuses and respiratory congestion. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to give a mini-reflexology session to babies, children, and adults. Please wear comfortable clothing, have very short fingernails (no nail showing above the finger lines), and bring a pillow and sheet. Expect to practice hands-on techniques with a partner.

Come and learn some simple yet effective techniques to relieve sore shoulders and back or hands and feet that have worked all day or that ache from chronic pain. Timeless and universal, massage therapy offers numerous health and therapeutic benefits. Relaxation massage, tension relief, and some pain reducing techniques are included. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga matt or blanket and a twin size pillow for floor work for back and shoulders. For the hands and feet class, please bring 3 hand towels. Each one night workshop is taught by Karleen Kenney, a 2004 Bancroft School of Massage Therapy Graduate.

Instructor, Pam Aronson is the founder and owner of "Body Magical" Energy Coaching says, "You can fish for them, or you can teach them to fish." Pam enjoys teaching people to fish. She loves to empower people to "create their own true wellness from the inside out." Pam's entry into the world of energy coaching was serendipitous. When the global economic collapse hit in force, Pam--who was then a project manager in a local corporation--was asked to manage the first general layoff the company had ever faced. It was a sad and stressful time for everyone involved, and the work was complex. People close to her kept asking: "How are you staying so calm in the face of so much stress? In this workshop you will receive a Reiki I attunement, explore various aspects of spirituality, and develop your own innate intuitive skills.
Reiki Level I is a simple yet profound healing technique that can be learned by anyone who has been called to the path of healing. Reiki Level One requires no special invocation or alteration of your thinking process to “turn on the flow” of Reiki. By simply placing your hands and opening your heart to love, you will automatically turn on the healing energy. In addition to the Reiki One attunement, this 3 session program will cover the history, theory, and practice of Reiki. Other topics include hand placements, what to do when you are being "called, guided meditations, the power of proper breathing, and the use of the power of intention. You will practice using the power of "being in the moment", eliminating and clearing negative energy, keeping yourself grounded and your spirits uplifted, amplifying positive energy, tapping into universal wisdom (spirit guides and angels, and connecting to the wisdom within yourself. Discussions, guided meditations, and group exercises will help develop your healing, intuitive, and spiritual abilities.
